Carthage beat Kilgore 34-23 for the 2013 Class 3A - Division 1 Championship. Carthage QB also the games MVP Blake Bogenschutz and RB Tevin Pipken could not be denied as Bogenschutz threw for 175 yards and rushed for a 100 more and Pipken rushed for 112 yards on 17 carries to help Carthage win the Championship title.
